For a number of weeks, we have seen unprecedented scenes in relation to COVID-19. We are fortunate to have one of the most advanced healthcare systems in the world, as well as fantastic doctors, nurses and support staff who work tirelessly around the clock to ensure our safety and health. The NHS is a national treasure, and to those who support and maintain it, we praise and thank you for the selfless work you are doing.

This post is dedicated to the hundreds of thousands of people who work directly and indirectly for the NHS, to the families of NHS workers and community support staff, and to eFoam customers whose custom has enabled us to support the NHS and healthcare sectors in charitable ways during these testing times.

All of us at eFoam are grateful to play a role in supporting the NHS, as we're fortunate to have an aspect of our business that manufactures an essential range of products used in healthcare and related settings.

Foam is a crucial component for these organisations – from beds, seat wedges and protective equipment to X-ray and scan supports – and understandably we have seen an enormous increase in orders from medical and healthcare providers, including the NHS. Newly announced plans for temporary hospitals and dedicated Coronavirus facilities around the country have drawn together a special community spirit, with eFoam, our partners, our staff and medical organisations uniting to keep the country and our NHS steady in the face of adversity.

Safety is another area of concern with COVID-19. Foam plays a crucial role in protecting healthcare staff via face masks and face guards, which are in huge demand. Please be assured that while we do everything we can to support the healthcare community, we continue to process and dispatch all orders to our customers as usual. We understand that essential operations don't stop, so to all our customers, whether regular or new, trade or individual, we thank you for your patience during this unusual time.

Testing times truly show the best of people, and all businesses must remember this is not a business-as-usual occasion. While commercial trade is good, kindness and charitable actions are free, no matter how small or large, and we encourage you all to support your local communities. At eFoam we're keen to support our staff, which means we remain open while playing a critical role in supporting health and social organisations.

In line with Government guidance, protection for all our employees is paramount. Our team are at the heart of our business, so we're acting on our duty to clean and disinfect our premises more frequently than usual, to keep staff safe and able to work in the best conditions.

While we maintain support for our communities, we encourage you to stay at home for your own health and the safety of others. To safeguard our employees, eFoam has taken the decision not to allow visitors to our offices or factory sites, but we're still here during usual office hours by telephone or email.
